~Easter Weekend 2014~

What a fun Easter weekend we had this year! We started it off with a little egg coloring....

Excited to get started!
We love Daddy!
Let's do this....

With the finished product!
Sadie's favorites....
....and Parker's favorites.
And of course the girls had to get all prettied up for Easter. We painted Sadie's nails....
....and Easter morning I curled her hair for the very first time! Sadie was sooooo excited!
We went to our church's noon service, so we decided to go ahead with our Easter egg hunt in the morning before church. Our good friends Corey and Blythe and their little girl, Charity, joined us for the fun.

 Our family!
Corey, Blythe, and sweet Charity.
Ready to hunt!

Enjoying some of their treasure!
After church and a little bit of down time, we ended the day with a little bit of an impromtu dinner at Corey and Blythe's house. It was a great day with friends, and a great day to remember the He is risen!

Easter Weekend

We had a lovely Easter weekend! In addition to having some family in town (which I somehow got no pictures of!), we had so much fun doing something new....coloring Easter eggs. I honestly don't know why we haven't done this in the past, but it will definitely become one of our family traditions from here on out.

On Easter morning, the kids were super excited to get a few little goodies.
Peeps!

And, of course, they love to hunt eggs!

Jesus is the reason for the season. We are so blessed!

Easter Weekend

I'm a little late in posting this, but better late than never, they say. We had a great Easter weekend this year. On Saturday, we took to the kids to Home Depot for their monthly free kids workshop where Parker and Sadie made bird feeders. They got an apron, and they got to build and decorate their feeders however they chose. Before leaving, they got a pin for their apron and a certificate for participating. It was a fun, free learning activity, and we are looking forward to going back next month!

Daddy hung their bird feeders on the window when we got home. I'm not gonna lie....I haven't seen a single bird at them.
That afternoon my cousin, Stephanie, and her family came over for an Easter egg hunt. Parker, Sadie, and Cousin A were so excited!

After the egg hunt, we had some special Easter treats that I made after seeing a pin on Pinterest. They were yummy, and definitely in the spirit of the season! (If you can't tell, they looked like little chocolate nests with eggs in them.)

After church on Sunday, we went out to eat with our good friends, Corey and Blythe, and their darling baby girl, Charity. It was so much fun getting spend some time with them!

After lunch!
My sweeties on Easter....
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and remembered the reason for this special day!
