Colorado Balloon Classic

Every Labor Day weekend, there is a hot air balloon festival in Colorado Springs called the Colorado Balloon Classic. Even though you have to get up at an ungodly hour to see the balloons lift off, it is well worth the lost sleep. The weather was fantastic, and we enjoyed a super fun and super free family outing!

Parker was in charge of his class mascot that weekend, which meant that Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. and Monsters University went everywhere with us....even to the balloon festival.

Day of Firsts

A couple of weeks ago, school started back up. Parker was sooooo excited to be going to 1st grade! Since he had half-day Kindergarten last year, I was a little anxious about how he would do being there all day. I shouldn't have worried, though, as he has done just great!
