Happy birthday, Parker!

As hard as it is to believe, our baby boy turned EIGHT years old this month! Of course, Parker was super excited to celebrate his birthday.

Opening a present on his birthday morning --

We all went out to lunch together....

....and to iT'Z for dinner and games!

A few days later, we had Parker's party. He wanted a Hercules party this year, so that's what he got!

We're so proud of our big, sweet, smart, happy boy!

Candles and Colors

Last month I turned 34. Thirty-four. I don't begrudge my age.... it's just that it doesn't seem quite possible. At any rate, we had a nice quiet day at home. My favorite.

Ended the day watching movies with this guy.

The next day we took advantage of some beautiful weather and drove up into the mountains to check out the fall colors -- one of our favorite annual traditions. The colors this year were fantastic, and pictures certainly don't do them justice.

We also wandered around Theresa Mine near Victor.

More great colors on the way back home. 

Poor Sadie was all tuckered out!
