More Christmas!

We also spent time with Andrew's mom's side of the family while gone for the holidays, of course! Here are some pictures from the fun times we had! Opening presents....

Our family on Christmas Day!

Christmas Eve 2011

We spent Christmas Eve with Andrew's dad and grandparents! We had a fun time hanging out at Grandpa and Grandma's house that day.

The kids were excited to open presents!

Parker and Grandpa playing guitars together.
It was even nice enough to spend a little time outside that afternoon!

That evening we headed over the Andrew's aunt and uncle's home to spend time with even more extended family members. It was a wonderful day!

Until next year....

So I'm way behind (again) on my blogging, but I've been a little busy lately. This post will finish up our Surprise House fun until next December!

Day 19. This day, the note said....
...."Watch Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas!".
Day 20. What will we do today?
The note told us that we were going to "Ride on Santa's Express", a special Christmas event that the Royal Gorge railway puts on in the months of November and December. So we got the kids in their jammies and headed to Canon City for the evening.
Waiting for our train ride to the North Pole to begin!

Writing a letter to Santa!

Once our ride began, we enjoyed cookies....
....and hot chocolate!
Arriving at the North Pole!
Santa waved at all of the children as the train rolled past.
Our car's elf, Jangles.
Santa made his way through the entire train, and the kids were SO excited to meet him!

He passed out bells to all of the kids.

On the way back, Jangles read " 'Twas The Night Before Christmas" to all of the kids in our car. It was really a super fun evening!
Day 21. Due to behavioral difficulties, Surprise House activities for this day were cancelled. Bummer.

Day 22. This day there were about 7 inches of snow on the ground, so the note said.... (any guesses?)
...."Play in the snow!".

All of that fun outside was, of course, followed up with hot chocolate!

Even though there were technically a couple of days left Christmas Day, this was our last day of the Surprise House as we left the following morning to spend the holidays with family. We are SO glad to have started this tradition and look forward to doing it for years to come!
