Girl's Getaway!

My cousin, Stephanie, and I have been talking for quite some time about trying to get away for a weekend, and as most unplanned things go, it never happened. After a very busy/stressful couple of months and with Stephanie's birthday approaching, we finally decided to just make it happen. We had a blast and can't wait to make it happen again!

Heading out!
After some shopping we stopped for lunch where we ordered fried pickles. Having never even heard of fried pickles before, I was a bit skeptical. But oh, my, goodness, they were amazing. I may or may not have dreamed about them in the short time since then.
After more shopping, including at this lovely bath shoppe in Manitou Springs....
....we enjoyed some crepes at Coquette's....

....before heading to our room at The Cliff House for the evening.
We had such a fun time that evening watching movies and staying up late! The next morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast....

....and took one last picture....
....before rejoining the real world. Goodbye Cliff House! We will meet again!

Valentine's Day

We had a fun time celebrating Valentine's Day this year. The kids woke up to some goodies before school....

....and opened some cards they had gotten in the mail!

My two little loves!
Parker was very excited about his Valentine's Day party at school, and he had a blast exchanging Valentine's with his friends. After picking him up from school, we went to Daddy's office.
Trying out Daddy's headset.
Sitting in Daddy's chair.
They sure love their Daddy!
Our family.
We all enjoyed lunch at McDonald's with the gift cards that Grandma sent.

Andrew's cousin, Sage,  who had recently moved to town and was staying with us for a bit, watched the kids that evening so that Andrew and I could go out! What a treat!

School, snow, and s'mores!

We have been busy the last couple of months getting back into the swing of things after Christmas. Parker has had quite a few fun activities at school as well.

In January, Parker's classroom had Pizza and Pops, a special event just for dads. The kids performed a few songs....
....did a craft....
....and ate pizza with their dads!
They both loved it!
Sadie Lady one morning after dropping Parker off at school.
There was also Muffins with Mom before school one morning.

Then Parker and I went on a field trip to see a production of Alice in Wonderland!
On top of all that, there was even a snow day! The kids were super excited to go out and play.

We took advantage of the cold weather one evening by starting a fire in the fireplace and making s'mores. What could be better?
