Saying good-bye to the kids. They stayed with Grandma and Poppy while we were gone, and there weren't even any tears when we went our separate ways at the airport....at least not from them.
In the air and headed to Miami!
We're not in Colorado anymore.
Our ride for the next few days!
Ready to board.
Hanging out on the deck as we left the port.
Good-bye, Miami!
Good morning, Nassau, Bahamas!
Even though it was cold and windy, we had a fun time checking out Nassau.
Headed to an excursion!
Atlantis, a gorgeous resort on Paradise Island.Checking out some aquariums on the grounds of the resort.
Love this picture of us.
While walking around Atlantis, we happened onto the ocean! My first time to step into the ocean....
Even though it was cold outside, the water felt warm and wonderful.
Originally, we were to have gone to CocoCay, Bahamas, on one of our days, but due to the same weather system that had effected our day in Nassau, our stop in CocoCay was cancelled. Instead, we enjoyed a relaxing day at sea.
We spent the day hanging out on deck....
....relaxing....
....and playing some games that we brought along for down time.
Good morning, Key West (and welcome back, Sun)!
We got up early and walked.....and walked.....and walked....to the Southernmost Point of the United States!
Then we checked out a beach that was close by.
We then went and toured Ernest Hemingway's Home. The English major in Andrew was intrigued, and I have to say it was pretty cool.
Then we had to stop and get a chocolate-dipped key lime pie on a stick. It was as good as it sounds.
Back on deck, we patted ourselves on the back for having walked to and from the shore in the distance!
That evening as we were pulling out of Key West, we enjoyed the most brilliant sunset. Pictures cannot do it justice.
Our last dinner!
Good-bye, vaca! We will meet again!
We had an amazing time and have to give much thanks to the Vargas' for sending us on this trip and also Grandma and Poppy who watched the kiddos for us! It meant so much to us!
