Summertime....

As I mentioned before, we had quite a busy summer! In addition to some of the things I've already blogged about, we....

Took swimming lessons....

....and played with our new basketball hoop.

We had sleepovers....
....and got free slurpees at 7-11 on July 11th.
We played in the sand box....
....and rode bikes.
We had a boys night (dinner and Pikes Peak motocross event)....

....and girls night (take-out, jewelry making, mani/pedis and movie watching).

We had fun at Pirate's Cove....

....and celebrated our 11th anniversary!
Of course, all of this activity has made us not want to get out of bed in the morning....
....and caused us to have spontaneous naps on the way home from work.
Thanks for the memories, summer. See you again next year!

~Dad's Day 2014~

Back in June, we celebrated Andrew on Father's Day. We started out with biscuits and gravy in bed, Andrew's favorite. Afterwards the kids were excited to give him the cards that they had picked out and created.

My yearly Father's Day gift for Andrew is a scrapbook of the previous year. We are always excited for him to see it!
With Daddy just before going to Chili's which *long story* ended in a bit of a disaster as well as a free meal before coming home to watch some World Cup, Daddy's favorite.
So lucky to have this guy as the father of my kiddos! Happy Father's Day -- we love you!

Our life lately....

A couple of weeks ago, Andrew's mom and her husband came for a visit. We enjoyed having them here, and they even watched to kids one day so that Andrew and I could go out on a date! We always appreciate the opportunity to go out and have some fun without our little mini-mes.

Saying good-bye!

A few days after our company left, I celebrated my birthday. As a birthday tradition, I always make the kids a birthday banner to hang on the mantle. Well, this year they surprised me with this little number!
Me and my girlie!
Love my kiddos....
Andrew and I!

A few other things we've been up to lately....

Sadie got her first haircut! Yes, she's 4, and yes, this really is her first haircut. Just a trim, actually, to even things out a bit. Big thanks to my friend, Kim, for doing a great job!

Parker started soccer again....

....and Sadie started gymnastics, which she loves.

Sadie loves puzzles and does them. Every. Day.
We found this playhouse for a steal on Craigslist and the kids love it!
Having a sleepover!
Parker is doing great in 1st grade, and just today we went on a field trip through the neighborhood around the school!
