Fall fun at Wishing Star Farm!

So here I go again, playing catch-up like crazy. It seems ridiculous to post about fall when Christmas was over three weeks ago, but that is where I left off so whatevs. One of our favorite family traditions each fall is to go to a pumpkin patch. This year we went to Wishing Star Farm, and had a blast. In addition to the pumpkin patch, they have tons of fun activities for whole family to enjoy.

The kids loved petting some farm animals....

....and having a pony ride!

They had fun climbing to the top of the hay pyramid....

...and swinging on the tire swings.

There were barrel train rides....

....and hayrides!

The corn box was a hit....

....as well as the roping stations!

The kids were excited to pick out their pumpkins!

But everyone's favorite part was without a doubt the huge bouncy "blob". The kids wore themselves out on it!

Fun with Grandma and Poppie!

My parents recently came for a visit and in addition to celebrating Parker's birthday together, we also did some other "special things", as the kids say. We had never been to The North Pole, a local Christmas-themed amusement park, so we took advantage of the unusually mild weather we've been having lately and set out for a fun-filled day.

We had a great time riding all of the rides. While the North Pole is geared more towards kids, there were definitely some more intense rides that I though might be too much for the kids. I couldn't have been more wrong. They rode everything and loved every minute!

 

The kids also got to meet with Santa....

....and we all had a fun treat before heading home.

We also went to House of Bounce while Grandma and Poppie were here. A great time was had by all!

Last but not least, Mom and Dad celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary during their stay! What a big deal!

We celebrated how they wanted to....with popcorn and a movie with the kids.
