Last night in CO

My parents and nieces left for home this morning, and although some of us got sick towards the end of their visit here, we all had a fun time. Last night I took some pics....

Movies and mayhem....

We've had a fun last couple of days. Last night we took Parker to his first movie, "Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Squeakquel". There is a movie theatre in town called The Picture Show that has movies once they go out of the main theatres. Tickets are normally $1.50, but on Tuesdays they are 75 CENTS! HELLO! Parker seemed to have a really good time, and later on in the evening kept asking to watch the "big movie". Here is a picture of Andrew and Parker after the movie was over.... Tonight we took pictures for a special project for my grandpa on my mom's side. There are 6 great-grandchildren, and they aren't often in the same place at the same time. They all happen to be in Colorado Springs for a few days, so we got together at our house today for a little impromptu photo shoot. With four of the kids ages 3 and under, it made for an interesting time. We plan on making a gift for Grandpa from the pics.

Family Fun

My parents and nieces are in town for spring break, so last night my cousin's family along with her mother came over to our house for dinner. We had a really fun time!

Playing and waving!

On most Friday mornings, we go to the playground at our local mall along with several other young moms and their kiddos. They have a large soft play area where all of the equipment is safe and totally fun to play on. We get there early enough that it's not super busy, and the kids have a really good time running, climbing, sliding, and playing. Here is Parker climbing a tree....Although Sadie isn't yet crawling, she moves quite a bit and managed to get herself stuck under our stroller.

Stephanie and Cousin A have been coming with us and having a great time too....

The boys like to walk hand in hand when we're done and on our way back to the cars....

And in my last post about Sadie, I mentioned that she's learned how to wave bye-bye. Here is a SUPER CUTE video of her showing off! (Click on the arrow in the bottom left-hand corner to view)

Cookie monster

I decided to make some chocolate chip cookies today....what better to do on a snowy afternoon anyway? When Parker woke up from his nap and saw what I was doing, he was pretty excited. I guess you could say that the cookies were "Parker tested, Parker approved". The only thing he didn't like about them was when I told him he could have no more. I even think he kinda looks like Cookie Monster in this picture....

10-month-old Sadie Lady!

Sadie is 10 months old today!!! It struck me this morning that I need to start thinking about what to do for her 1st birthday, and it just doesn't seem possible. Here are a few things Sadie has been up to lately....

-- She is routinely getting up on all fours as if to crawl, but she's not going anywhere yet.
-- She still has NO teeth! Really?
-- She is starting to make a lot of different word-like sounds, like she's really trying to tell you something.
-- When she gets angry (from having something taken away, etc.) it appears as if she's trying to hit you. Lovely.
-- She sleeps fantastically now, and doesn't even cry to eat when she wakes up in the morning.
-- She has just started to wave bye-bye and seems to enjoy trying out her new skills.
-- She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to eat food like Cheerios and puffs now. She eats them in alarming amounts.
-- She is getting more and more fun in general as she is learning to do new things.

I think that's about it for now. Here is a picture of her trying to get ahold of more puffs even though her hands and her mouth are full....
